PRINCIPAL

Livija Abraham, principal of the “Dositej Obradović” Gymnasium and Vocational School, was born on September 6, 1978, in Novi Kneževac. She completed the “Košut Žužana” Gymnasium in Szeged and then enrolled in Hungarology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, where she obtained the qualification of a professor of Hungarian language and literature.

She began her professional career at the “Dositej Obradović” Secondary School in Novi Kneževac. After two years, she moved to the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Primary School, where she worked in Novi Kneževac, Banatsko Aranđelovo, Đala, and Majdan.

From 2010 to 2015, she worked as deputy principal at the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Primary School, where she managed the satellite department in Banatsko Aranđelovo.

In 2019, she returned to the “Dositej Obradović” Gymnasium and Vocational School as a teacher of Hungarian language and literature.

In 2021, during the pandemic, due to the situation in education, she participated in the preparation of the distance learning curriculum.

From January 2022, with the support of the National Council of the Hungarian National Minority and the “Dositej Obradović” Gymnasium and Vocational School, she conducted a Hungarian language and literature course for employees in healthcare institutions.

From September 1, 2024, she was appointed acting principal of the “Dositej Obradović” Gymnasium and Vocational School, and by the decision of the Ministry of Education on October 20, 2024, she was appointed as the principal of the institution.

She is a mother of two children.
