STUDENT PARLIAMENT
The student parliament is a legally guaranteed formal institution that enables students to organize in a democratic way in order to represent the interests of all students in the school, as well as to participate in decision-making that directly concerns them.
This form of association is important because it guarantees students’ fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of association, and the right to express their own opinions. Some of the main goals of the student parliament are to enable students’ personal development, respect different arguments and viewpoints, foster the development of democratic culture, and contribute to building collective relationships and partnerships with teachers, professional associates, principals, and school authorities.
The parliament consists of two representatives from each class in the school. It is elected every school year and has a president, a vice president, and a secretary.
Representatives are obliged to inform their class communities about all contents, ideas, and conclusions.
